July 26, 2012: NHLP Seeks Changes to HUD’s Proposed Project-Based Voucher Rules
NHLP is committed to making the project-based voucher (PBV) program an effective tool to produce, preserve and provide decent, stable and affordable housing for extremely low-income families. The comments recommended changes to five of the proposed rules implementing the 2008 changes made by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act, supported several of the changes HUD proposed and recommended modifications to others. In addition, the group recommended that HUD seize the opportunity to improve the PBV rules by making additional changes within HUD’s administrative authority.
