NHLP Seeks Summer Law Clerk for 2019 to Focus on Rural Housing Issues
The National Housing Law Project (NHLP) is currently accepting applications from current law students for a summer clerkship specifically focused on rural housing issues.
NHLP is seeking a law clerk who has a demonstrated interested in issues impacting rural communities for summer 2019. This clerk would work directly with one senior staff attorney on litigation and policy advocacy concerning affordable housing administered by the Rural Development (RD) mission area of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Litigation topics include the preservation of Rural Development (RD) housing developments and protection of tenant in RD rental housing when owners of the housing have prepaid their U.S.D.A. loans. This position has the potential of being a paid position through successful application to the Dan Bradley Fellowship program. NHLP will assist with the fellowship application.
