HUD’s Mixed Status Family Rule
This webinar provides an overview of HUD’s proposed mixed-status family rule. If finalized and promulgated, this rule would prohibit mixed-status families from living in public housing and from receiving other housing assistance, including Housing Choice Vouchers and project-based rental assistance. The rule would also impose new documentation requirements for U.S. citizens and the elderly currently receiving and applying for federal housing assistance. The webinar further discusses HUD data regarding mixed-status families and other groups that would be impacted by the rule, as well as resources available to oppose the rule.
