Working with PHAs to Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing
This webinar discusses the obligation to affirmatively further fair housing and what that means in practice for advocates and public housing authority (PHA) staff. Panelists provide an overview of both the federal and California AFFH obligations, as well as examples of how advocates, local government agencies, and PHAs can work together to ensure that PHAs are meeting their obligations to affirmatively further fair housing. The webinar discusses Small Area Fair Market Rents (SAFMRs), source of income discrimination, and the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) as examples of how to examine these issue areas through an AFFH lens.
